Taking CBD: A Beginners Guide

How much CBD do I take?

CBD is currently legal in the UK as long as it has a no more than 0.2% Tetrahydrocannabinol
(THC), the psychoactive compound which gives you the intense mind altering experience
(high).

Since CBD has been made legal in the UK market it has exploded with the older generation
being the leading consumers. Unfortunately, the laws and legislation's associated with
marketing CBD are very stringent at the moment so we are unable to talk about the
medicinal benefits.

Finding your unique dosage to start is trial and error as everyone is different. Follow the steps below and you will find yours, be sure to keep increasing until you notice the effects have plateaued.

The 3 main consumption methods we will touch on today are:
  •  Vaporising
  •  Sublingual (under the tongue)
  •  Oral ingestion (capsules/eating)

Vaporising

By using this method of ingestion you are allowing CBD to be delivered into your
bloodstream via your lungs.

Within seconds of the vapour hitting your lungs the CBD will have transferred into your
bloodstream circulating all around your body and you will feel effects almost instantly.
Vaping is a much safer way of ingesting CBD compared to smoking as you are avoiding all
the harmful toxins and carcinogens that come from smoking. Although the effects are
present almost immediately they do not last for very long, 1 to 2 hours. Our E-Liquids can be
vaped pure or mixed with another juice if you prefer this option we recommend 1:5 ratio 1
part CBD 5 parts mixer.

We recommend a mouth to lung vape if you aren’t using a mixer and visa versa.

Dosage: Take one inhale then wait a couple of hours before taking another, continue this
for a week then increase to two as so on until you feel the effects have hit a plateau.

Sublingual

When oils are ingested sublingually they should be held under the tongue for 60-90 seconds
for maximum absorption before swallowing.

When placed under the tongue the oil is absorbed through the mucous membrane under
the tongue and as it is quite thin the oil enters your bloodstream rather quick making it an
efficient cannabinoid delivery route.

Administered this way you can expect results to take effect within 5 to 20 minutes lasting 2
to 4 hours depending on the individual. Our oils use Medium-Chain Triglyceride (MCT) oil,
this is a purified form of saturated fatty acids which is directly metabolised into energy
allowing for the rapid release of CBD.

Dosage: 1/2 sprays under your tongue before breakfast and dinner. Stay at this dose for 1
week and then increase to 3 times a day (before lunch) then after a week increase by 1
spray per meal. Continue this pattern until the effects reach a plateau.

Ingestion

When ingesting CBD the effects are longer lasting 4-6 hours but take up to 90 minutes to be
metabolised.

One of the main benefits with capsules is the precise dosing as they are machine
manufactured they will be very accurate. Another is that they're tasteless, many people
HATE the taste of raw CBD oil which to be honest does taste horrible! For this reason we
stock two different flavour sprays Cherry and Peppermint.

Many capsules simply have CBD oil a vegetable derived capsules ours are infused with inulin powered. But why? It's a 100% natural compound produced by many plants from wheat to onions. Unlike many oral tablets and capsules Inulin is not digested or absorbed in the stomach. It goes to the bowels where bacteria are able to use it to grow. It supports the growth of a special kind of bacteria that are associated with improving bowel function and general health. Inulin decreases the bodies ability to make certain kinds of fats.

Dosage: Take 1 capsule daily for the first 3 days. If needed, slowly build up to 3 capsules
taken 3 times per day, spread evenly throughout the day.
